Clover Kids 4-H Club Home Page
Welcome to the Clover Kids Website!
The Clover Kids 4-H Club is a community club established under the NDSU Cass County Extension Office. We became a chartered club in November 2006. This club is for all youth ages 5 to 18. We currently have 10 members, ages ranging from 6 to 12. The Clover Kids 4-H Club serves the West Fargo, North Dakota area.
Meetings: We meet on a monthly basis, generally on a Saturday afternoon from 2:00 - 4:00 PM at the Lodoen Community Center. Our meetings are located in a meeting room on the upper level of the West Fargo Library. Meeting dates are decided upon at each meeting, as it is our goal to try to meet a majority of our members scheduling needs. If you have questions regarding our upcoming meeting schedule, please contact us using the e-mail link below.
What Is Our Club About
Because we are a young and growing club, we are busy learning the ropes of 4-H. This year we are working on the "Exploring the Treasures of 4-H" as a group, in addition to each member's own projects that they have selected. We will be learning about the various 4-H events in our community, such as the Variety Show and Carnival, and the Fair.
Our youth ages 8 - 12 are currently rotating officer duties within our club as we guide them in establishing the procedures of running the 4-H meetings. We emphasize "learning by doing" and are dedicated to helping our youth gain confidence and become leaders, while developing life skills such as public speaking, responsibility, planning and orgainizing, and decision-making. Along with these goals, we are making new friends and having fun!
Our club also supports the Cloverbuds. The Cloverbuds are 5 to 7 year olds involved in companion activities to the traditional 4-H program. Our Cloverbuds are also working on the "Exploring the Trasures of 4-H" project, and participating in our club activities. We emphasize participation and exploring many interests with this age group, and strive to help them practice new skills, and build self-confidence and self-esteem.
